Breast Augmentation
Breast Augmentation can enlarge your breasts, restore volume, and achieve better symmetry if one breast is smaller than the other. Patients have the choice of modern silicone or saline-filled implants to ensure a natural shape, minimal scarring and pain, and a quicker recovery.
Breast Lift
The simple effects of gravity can take a toll on the supporting tissues of your breasts. A breast lift will raise, tighten, and improve the contours of your breasts, restoring a more youthful look to your silhouette.
Breast Reduction
Bigger isn't always better. An overly large bust can strain your back, causing pain and discomfort and limiting your activities. In a reduction, breast tissue is surgically removed and the breasts are lifted to restore the contour of the bust. When necessary the nipple is moved to achieve a natural shape. Breastfeeding may not be possible after a reduction.
Post-mastectomy Reconstruction
Our surgeons are skilled at matching the form and appearance of your natural breast - or perhaps improving your contours, if you desire. There are several techniques that we can use to reconstruct your breast and together we will determine which is best for you. Procedures generally take place over a period of time and recovery can take several weeks.
The procedures listed above take place in an out-patient facility, require general anesthesia, and patients are usually discharged soon after the procedure. Most of the procedures require a recovery time of about one week. Results are immediately visible.
 Liposuction
Liposuction is a procedure that suctions out excess fat deposits from beneath the skin. The procedure will involve one or more incisions for insertion of a cannula, the device that loosens up the fat. Then with the use of a surgical vacuum or syringe, the fat is sucked away. Liposuction can be used on virtually any area of the body where there is an excess of fat deposits. Some complaints that are easily remedied by liposuction are double chin, fatty upper arms, and love handles.
Cellulite Reduction
Cellulite, that pesky condition that so many women experience, can now be permanently smoothed by a new liposuction procedure. This new body sculpting technique allows our surgeons to remove fat from deposits and re-inject it into the indentations that create the unattractive dimpled appearance of cellulite. The result is a dramatically smoother skin surface that is permanent. We are the only plastic surgery center on the Gulf Coast to offer this incredible solution to a problem that has plagued women for years.
All liposuction procedures are generally performed in an out-patient facility using general anesthesia. Recovery time takes three to five days.
Tummy Tuck
The abdominal region is one of the most difficult areas to tone with diet and exercise. Even if you are able to tone the muscles, it's possible they won't be visible beneath the layer of excess fat that is so difficult to burn. After pregnancy or a considerable weight loss the skin doesn't always maintain its elasticity and this extra "pooch" may also be hiding what is otherwise a toned stomach.
A tummy tuck surgically removes this excess. An incision is made in the region between the pubic hairline and navel and the excess skin and fat of the lower abdomen is excised, leaving behind an immediately flatter, more attractive stomach. A second incision may be made around the navel to remove excess skin from the upper abdomen. Some individuals may wish to consider a combined procedure of liposuction and a tummy tuck. Our surgeon will consult with you closely to choose the procedure that is right for your body.
This procedure is performed in a hospital under general anesthesia and usually requires a night's hospital stay. Recovery time is about two weeks. |
