Meet Dr. Jocelyn Leveque – Pensacola Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Leveque has been practicing plastic and reconstructive surgery in Pensacola for over fifteen years. She is one of the founding partners of Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery located in the heart of Pensacola, Florida. She has had the distinct honor to treat patients not only from the Pensacola area, but also from all over the United States and throughout the world. As a woman, she feels that she has a unique perspective that allows her to better understand the goals, expectations, and concerns of the female patient and can empathize with the desire to restore one’s body image after pregnancy, weight loss, or cancer treatment. Dr. Leveque has performed thousands of plastic surgery procedures, specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the breast including breast augmentation, breast lifting, breast reduction, and breast reconstruction, as well as cosmetic procedures of the body and face including abdominoplasty, liposuction, body lifting procedures post weight loss, face lifts, brow lifts, and eyelid lifts.
Dr. Leveque’s mission is to provide the highest level of quality care to the cosmetic and reconstructive patient in a relaxing, stress-free environment by a compassionate and highly skilled staff. She believes honest communication is the key to establishing a good patient/physician relationship. She enjoys listening to the patient’s concerns, providing patient care education, setting realistic goals and expectations, formulating a plan to achieve the desired results and following the patient along through their post-operative recovery. Patient safety is also a very important aspect of plastic surgery. All surgical procedures requiring general anesthesia are performed in fully accredited facilities and all minor procedures are performed in a relaxing atmosphere in the office using strict safety guidelines.

Dr. Leveque was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked for her veterinarian parents at an early age assisting in surgery and developed a love for the technical aspects of surgery. She was valedictorian of her high school class and received the Joseph M. Brunini and the Presidential Scholarship to attend Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated cum laude from this prestigious institution with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Biology and Chemistry. She then attended the University of South Alabama College of Medicine earning a Doctor of Medicine degree. In medical school, she was very active in the American Medical Association Medical Student Section and received the AMA recruiting award. She also participated in surgical research during this time, publishing scientific papers and delivering presentations at national meetings and participated in several medical mission trips.

Dr. Leveque spent the next four and a half years in New Orleans, Louisiana at Tulane University first completing a plastic surgery residency and then an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery. During this time she remained active in clinical research, as well as a medical student and resident education. She was also a member of several committees including the Operating Room Committee, Medical School Admissions Committee, and Women in Medicine Task Force.
Dr. Leveque obtained her board certification by The American Board of Surgery in February 1999 and The American Board of Plastic Surgery in March 1999 with recertification in plastic surgery in 2009 and again in 2019. She became a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in October 2000. She also holds memberships in many prestigious professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
