This patient came to consult with Dr. Leveque to determine if she was a candidate for the tummy tuck procedure. After having children, the patient had excess fat and skin, as well as stretch marks, which are common after pregnancy. She was at her weight loss goal and wanted to tighten the abdominal area up. Dr. Leveque performed a tummy tuck (known also as an abdominoplasty) on the patient. This procedure includes abdominal muscle plication, or tightening, which helps tighten the abdominal muscles that separate after pregnancy. It helps to remove excess adipose tissue, or fat, as well as removes excess loose skin. A tummy tuck can also aid in the reduction of stretch marks if they are located in the area of skin that is to be removed. This patient had a fabulous result and is ready for bikini season again!
