The O-Shot Overview

From “the little blue pill” to over-the-counter enhanced supplements, men have many options for increasing sexual desire and performance; however, there is very little available to women. The O-Shot seeks to change that.
For several years, blood-derived growth factors have been used to regenerate the face and joints. In the same way, these growth factors and stem cells regenerate tissues and joint cartilage; the same technology can be used to restore vaginal tissue.

The O-Shot Cost

The cost is approximately $1,200 – $1500 (prices may vary), and the patient will obtain results for about a year. We recommend all patients consult this procedure before treatment.

The O-Shot procedure uses blood-derived growth factors to stimulate stem cells in the vagina, clitoris, and other female genital structures.
Although each woman’s experience can be different, here’s a list of some of the things our patients have told us they experience after receiving the O-Shot:
  • Greater arousal from clitoral stimulation
  • Younger and smoother vulva skin (lips of the vagina)
  • A tighter introitus (vaginal opening)
  • Stronger orgasm
  • More frequent orgasm
  • Increased sexual desire
  • Increased ability to have a vaginal orgasm
  • Decreased pain for those with dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
  • Increased natural lubrication
  • Decreased urinary incontinence

How Does the O-Shot Work?

The nurse practitioner applies a topical numbing cream to the vagina and the arm so the patient will feel little to no pain. Blood is drawn from the arm (the same way as any blood test) and is placed into a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma from the resultant growth factors using a particular method. Using a thin needle, the growth factors are injected into the clitoris and the upper vagina, the areas most important for the sexual response. The whole process takes about 10 minutes and can be done there in the room with the patient. There is no downtime with the O-Shot; however, we advise patients to abstain from sexual intercourse for 48 hours after receiving the shot.
