After breast cancer treatment, some patients require a reconstruction procedure of the breasts. Breast reconstruction is designed to help patients recapture their normal appearance and reconstruct the natural appearance of the breasts.
During breast cancer treatment, a mastectomy, a procedure to remove breast tissue, is sometimes necessary. Breast reconstruction may be performed at the same time that the breast tissue is removed. This may be preferable, as it helps avoid another surgical procedure. Others may desire to wait until a later date to perform the procedure.
Speak with one of our surgeons – Dr. Peter Butler or Dr. Jocelyn Leveque – to learn more about the results you can achieve with breast reconstruction.
