What Is Ear Lobe Repair?
Whether from heavy earrings or an earring caught in clothing or a toddler’s hand, split earlobes are a common problem. Dr. Butler, Dr. Patterson, or Dr. Leveque can repair your earlobe in the office under a local anesthetic. Once your lobes are fully healed, about six weeks after your repair, you can have your ear(s) re-pierced and resume wearing earrings. However, it is recommended that patients refrain from wearing heavy earrings. (Patients with lobes repaired because of gauges should not attempt to re-insert gauges.)
